What books to read for SAT II Physics exam?

Unlike SAT Reasoning Test, There are very limited books on SAT II Physics. We bought "Cracking the SAT Physics Subject Test" by "The Princeton Review" from American consulate in Sydney, Australia. We later bought Barron's "SAT Subject Test Physics" from Amazon.com. We found "Princeton Review" explains each topic in greater details and better suited for students that have never studies for this exam before. Barron's book on the other hand is more specific to the exam. There are however some minor errors in Barron's book, which I found quite strange since this is it's 10th edition.

I do think you need to read both books as they cover the same topics from different angles, which in my opinion strengthens your understanding of the subjects.

"Princeton Review" has two practice tests and Barron's has three. We think the practice tests on the "Princeton Review" book are more realistic to the real test. However if you really want to have a taste of the real thing, you can buy "The Official Study Guide for all SAT Subject Tests" by "College Board", which has one practice test for 16 different subject. The Physics practice test in this book was a real one from January 2003. The "College Board" doesn't publish past exams for a good reason, so I do recommend you to take this practice test if possible. Don't be put off by the fact this was a test from many years ago. Physics subject test hasn't changed much over the years.
